How to Use the On-Screen Telugu Keyboard
InScript (Indian Script) is the official keyboard standard adopted by the Government of India and C-DAC. Unlike English keyboards, InScript groups letters logically based on their phonetic articulation:
- Left Hand: Controls vowels (అచ్చులు) and vowel signs (మాత్రలు).
- Right Hand: Controls consonants (హల్లులు).
- Shift Layer: Press Shift to access long vowels, aspirated consonants (ఖ, ఘ, ఠ), and rare letters.
- Virama / Halant (్): Located on the 'd' key. To form conjuncts or vattulu (e.g. క్క), type consonant + 'd' + consonant.
